Leadvisors Place is a 9-story office building located in Hoan Kiem District in eastern Hanoi, Vietnam. A retrofit of an existing building was used as the base of the project, which was developed by IDS Equity Holdings, a leading distressed assets investment company in Vietnam. The company has committed itself to the vision of moving forward to a sustainable future as a pioneer in applying international sustainable development standards across its commercial project portfolio, from hospitality projects to office and serviced residences buildings.

To meet these commitments to sustainability, energy and water-saving technologies were incorporated into the design, construction and internal processes of the building. Insulation of external walls, low-E coated glass, an energy-efficient HVAC system and LED lighting reduce the building’s energy use, while water-efficient plumbing fixtures reduce its water use. The re-use of existing building parts such as floor slab, roof, and internal and external walls, the developers were further able to substantially lower the energy embodied in construction materials, resulting in a lower carbon footprint.

Regent Garment Factory is a light industrial development located in the Lai Vu Industrial Zone of Hai Duong, Vietnam. Developed by Crystal Group, a Vietnamese garment manufacturer, the project was designed in line with the company’s commitment to environmental protection, employing resource-efficient features and technologies in design and construction. These include the use of an energy-efficient cooling system, skylights providing natural light to half of the floor area, as well as energy-efficient lighting systems. The factory was designed by Dong Son Architects with EDGE consulting provided by GreenViet.

DIC Corp. Office is an office project in the Thang Tam Ward of Vung Tau City, Vietnam. The project makes use of an existing 7-story hotel construction, retrofitting it to convert it into office space for Development Investment Construction J.S Corporation (DIC Corp.), a local urban development company with a focus on satellite cities using sustainable technology. The project was designed by architect Vo Thanh Lan with ARDOR Green serving as green design consultants.

By incorporating modern technologies such as insulation of the roof, external shading devices, solar photovoltaics, energy-saving appliances such as LED lightbulbs and water-efficient plumbing features, as well as the re-use of most existing wall and roof construction elements, DIC was able to significantly reduce its energy and water consumption, resulting in a more sustainable construction project and a reduced carbon footprint.
