The Río Azul project is a residential building located in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador and has 17 housing units. Designed and built by Ejeproy, the company seeks to continue certifying all its projects with the EDGE certification.

Reduced window to wall ratio, reflective paint/tiles for roof and external walls, insulation of roof and external walls, energy-saving light bulbs for internal and external spaces and lighting controls for corridors and staircases.

Water

Low-flow showerheads, faucets for kitchen sinks and washbasins, and dual flush for water closets.

Materials

Exposed brick wall with internal plaster and medium weight hollow concrete blocks for internal walls, exposed brick wall with internal plaster for external walls, in-situ waffle concrete floor slab, in-situ waffle concrete slab and asphalt shingles on steel rafters for roof construction and aluminum window frames.
